ATI Coral Plus T5 HO Bulb
The ATI Coral Plus is a high-performance “all-in-one” bulb that has become a staple for modern reef keepers. It is a hybrid bulb that combines the properties of the Blue Plus (50%), Aquablue Special (40%), and Purple Plus (10%), creating a comprehensive spectrum in a single tube.
Spectrum & Color Performance
Color Temperature: Approximately 15,000K+.
Visual Output: A cool, crisp white with a pronounced blue-violet tint. It provides a significantly “bluer” look than the Aquablue Special while remaining much brighter to the eye than a dedicated Blue Plus.
Spectrum Profile: It features a strong blue peak for coral health and fluorescence, balanced with enough red and green spectrum to ensure that yellows, reds, and oranges remain vivid and natural.
Key Features
Optimized PAR: The Coral Plus is one of the highest PAR-producing bulbs in the ATI lineup. It is designed to provide the necessary energy for demanding SPS corals while maintaining a visually pleasing aesthetic.
Versatile Foundation: This is often considered the best “base” bulb for any T5 or T5/LED hybrid system. Because it contains elements of blue, white, and purple, it reduces the need for complex bulb mixing.
Clarity & Contrast: By including a small amount of the Purple Plus spectrum, it enhances the contrast between different coral tissues, making the tank look “sharper” and more defined.

Recommended Use
The Coral Plus is the most flexible bulb in the ATI catalog and is suitable for almost any reef environment.
The Modern Reef Ratio: A very popular combination for a 4-bulb fixture is 2x Blue Plus and 2x Coral Plus. This creates a bright, “20,000K-style” look with massive growth potential.
Standalone Performance: In smaller 2-bulb fixtures, using two Coral Plus bulbs (or one Coral Plus and one Blue Plus) provides a complete spectrum that supports all types of coral life.
Hybrid Supplementation: When used alongside LED fixtures (like Radions or Hydras), the Coral Plus is excellent for “filling in” the shadows and providing the full-spectrum T5 punch that LEDs sometimes lack.
