Description
Black Alder Cones are the catkins, or flowering clusters, from the alder tree (Alnus glutinosa). Widely utilized in aquariums for their ability to naturally lower pH levels thanks to their rich tannin content, they also offer antimicrobial benefits. Additionally, these cones are a fantastic enhancement for terrariums, bringing unique texture and visual interest similar to Magnolia seed pods. They serve as a valuable food source for terrarium clean-up crews and provide ample surface area for tiny isopods (mancae) and other micro-fauna to thrive. Available at ReptileSupply.com, these cones are a versatile addition to your setup.
