Description
Bedding, or substrate, plays a crucial role in your reptile’s habitat. It provides support for movement, helps regulate temperature and humidity levels, and fulfills their natural urge to dig and burrow within their terrarium.
Zilla Jungle Mix is a unique combination of sphagnum moss and fir shavings, designed to mimic the natural forest floor in enclosures for reptiles, amphibians, or invertebrates. This blend can hold significant amounts of moisture, ensuring optimal humidity for tropical and woodland environments. Your pet will appreciate the soft, inviting texture that encourages burrowing and digging activities.
Zilla substrates are developed with veterinary expertise and thorough testing. This mix includes Douglas Fir, a softwood with volatile organic compounds similar to pine and cedar, which can pose risks to reptiles and small animals. However, Zilla assures that Douglas Fir has notably fewer of these compounds compared to pine or cedar, minimizing potential health concerns for your pet.
Usage Guidelines:
Spread at least 2 inches of Zilla Jungle Mix across the terrarium floor. Perform daily spot cleaning to remove waste and soiled substrate. Fully replace the bedding every 3 months or earlier if necessary.
