Description
Chinese Praying Mantis (Tenodera sinensis)
The Chinese Praying Mantis is a peaceful and low-maintenance species, reaching up to 4 inches in length. It features a slim build, a distinctive triangular head, and a brown body with vibrant green highlights. Keep in mind that adults can fly, so ensure their habitat is secure and well-suited for containment.
Feeding:
Juvenile mantises currently feed on flightless fruit flies, available at ReptileSupply.com. As they mature, you can introduce bigger prey like dubia roaches, crickets, or black soldier flies. Provide water by lightly misting the enclosure walls a few times weekly; they will also hydrate through their food.
