Dwarf White Isopods, scientifically known as Trichorhina tomentosa, are a petite dwarf species of isopod. What sets them apart is their all-female population, reproducing asexually through parthenogenesis, meaning no males are needed for reproduction! When feeling threatened, these tiny creatures often play dead by curling into a c-shape and remaining still for a short time. If you suspect your Dwarf Whites have perished, give them a moment—they might just be pretending! Thriving in high humidity, they are an excellent choice for tropical bioactive setups and tend to multiply rapidly in the right conditions. Available at ReptileSupply.com.
