Electric Blue Crawfish or Crayfish (Procambarus alleni), commonly also known as Electric Blue Freshwater Lobster or blue crawfish. The Electric Blue Crayfish is one of the prettiest and most fascinating crayfish around. This Crayfish reaches maturity very quickly and breeds easily in the aquarium.
The crayfish may TEMPORARILY change color and hide more than usual after molting, which may occur during shipping. If your crayfish is not blue and you find a molt in the bag or in your aquarium, do not worry; this is normal and the bright color will return in 2 weeks or less.

Why is my Electric Blue Crayfish not blue after it arrives?
Crayfish sometimes molt during shipping. A freshly molted crayfish can look pale and will hide more than usual while its new shell hardens. If you find a molt in the bag or tank, this is normal, and the bright blue color usually returns within about 2 weeks.
What do I need before my Electric Blue Crayfish arrives?
Have a cycled tank of at least 20 gallons ready, with a tight-fitting lid, a filter, caves or other hiding places, and water around 65 to 75°F. Check that live crayfish are allowed where you live, since some U.S. states restrict or prohibit keeping or selling them.
