Description
It’s a common misconception that reptiles cannot see red light. In reality, they can, and for nocturnal species, this is irrelevant as they see well in darkness. For diurnal reptiles, red light at night can interfere with their sleep quality. Additionally, any light during nighttime hours might disturb your reptile’s natural circadian rhythm.
If your reptile requires a heat source at night due to low temperatures, consider the Exo Terra Ceramic Heater as a better option.
The Exo Terra Infrared Basking Spot NANO is a fantastic 24-hour heat solution tailored for smaller enclosures such as the Exo Terra Natural Terrarium NANO or MINI. This bulb emits infrared heat waves using a unique filament, deeply warming the skin, muscles, and bones of your pet. Its integrated reflector allows you to focus the heat on a specific spot, creating ideal basking areas and thermal gradients.
When used continuously, the subtle reddish glow of this bulb ensures it won’t interfere with your reptile’s natural behavior, making it perfect for watching crepuscular or nocturnal reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates after dark. The compact size of the Infrared Basking Spot NANO pairs seamlessly with the Exo Terra Reptile Dome NANO, crafted specifically for NANO and MINI terrariums.
