Papaya Isopods (Cubaris Murina) are an excellent choice for those new to keeping Cubaris species! These tiny isopods, which curl into a tight ball, thrive in a tropical setup with humidity levels of 70% or higher and temperatures starting at 70 degrees. They love to burrow, so provide at least 3 inches of substrate for their comfort. Once settled, they breed quickly and can serve as an effective clean-up crew in moist environments.
