Description
Pisces USA AquaNatural course aragonite is designed specifically for use in marine and reef aquariums. Aragonite is a naturally occurring form of calcium carbonate that is particularly useful in creating ideal conditions for saltwater and certain freshwater environments, where maintaining higher pH (8.0-8.4) levels is beneficial.
Aragonite is a naturally occurring mineral composed of calcium carbonate (CaCO₃). It is known for its high buffering capacity, which helps stabilize the pH levels and alkalinity in aquariums. By buffering the water and releasing essential minerals, AquaNatural Coarse Aragonite supports healthy water chemistry, which is crucial for the growth of corals, invertebrates, and some freshwater species.
The aragonite’s porous surface area provides an excellent medium for beneficial bacteria to colonize, enhancing biological filtration and helping to break down waste products.
Course aragonite is preferred over fine aragonite in high flow aquariums.
